A substantial, but not overly application (when there is more butter than there is toast) is more or less perfect, especially after a super crazy night out. The second main reason why I love butter so much is when you are trying to cook currys or sauces, butter saves the day. How would you get a curry tasting so good without just that bit of butter? Sunflower and olive oil can't do the job on their own. Also pies and cakes... It's really butter that saves the day. I could go on explaining why I love butter; its historical and cultural context, how you can use it in so many dishes i've never bothered making (see wikipedia search for 'butter'), but we all really know the truth - BUTTER AND TOAST. Also, i'm dead skint, a massive Hud Mo fan and i'm currently living off economy butter (this makes me sad).
